Strong Families Series: The Five Love Languages
February 6, 2019 - Parkland School Division is proud to present another FREE information session for caregivers.
Our upcoming session will help parents better recognize the means through which the important people in their lives - their partners, children, family and friends - communicate their love and caring, and how to reciprocate those feelings in the best understood way, thereby strengthening their relationships.
Strong Families Series - The Five Love Languages: Family Edition
Date: Tuesday, February 19, 2019
Location: Parkland School Division Centre For Education Board Room (4603 48th Street, Stony Plain)
Presented by Kelly Pilkie and Carmen Ross from Aspire Psychological Services
According Dr. Gary Chapman, author of the bestseller The 5 Love Languages, there are five different ways through which individuals can feel loved: Words of Affirmation, Acts of Service, Receiving Gifts, Quality Time and Physical Touch. Each of these love languages speaks more to certain individuals than to others: most people have one primary love language and one secondary love language.
In this session, parents and guardians will have the opportunity to discover their own love language, as well as those of the most important people in their lives. Finding the right means through which to express love to these people will help participants fill their loved ones' "love tanks", which can lead to the creation of closer, more harmonious relationships.
A light supper will be provided. Limited childcare is available.
Space is limited, so please register early to reserve your spot.
